7 Underrated Things on the Smith and Son Corner Kitchen Menu You Should Try

Our restaurant in the heart of Gatlinburg has something for everyone, whether you have a big appetite and love BBQ, have a craving for a juicy burger, or want to share a big plate of nachos. Whatever you want, we probably have it, and there are quite a few unique menu items that you definitely should know about. Take a look at some of the most underrated things on the Smith and Son Corner Kitchen menu:

1. Nachyo Nachos

One of the best appetizers on our menu has to be the Nachyo Nachos. But how are they any different from traditional nachos, you may ask? Well, first of all, instead of tortilla chips, we make our own potato chips and then we cover them with smoked pulled pork, beef brisket, jalapenos, red onion, tomatoes, fried onions, spicy pickles, cilantro, cheddar cheese, and a special sour cream sauce. 

2. Pit Master MacDaddy

We take macaroni and cheese to a whole new level with the Pit Master Macdaddy. We bake pulled smoked pork butt on top of our creamy mac and cheese, then add pico de gallo and sweet BBQ sauce on top. Fried tobacco onions complete this dish that will have you licking the bowl and begging for more! You won’t regret choosing this underrated dish on the Smith and Son Corner Kitchen menu. 

3. Smoky Mountain Cobb Salad

You’ll find several hearty salads on the menu at Smith & Son Corner Kitchen, and you should know that these aren’t your average salads with little to no flavor. The Smoky Mountains cobb salad features fresh chopped greens, grilled chicken, smoked turkey, parmesan cheese, bacon, tomatoes, red onion carrots, diced boiled egg, crumbled bleu cheese, smashed avocado, and our house dressing. 

4. Fajita Dog

We serve several unique hot dog combinations, and you’re missing out if you haven’t tasted the fajita dog! We beer boil and grill an all-beef footlong hot dog, and then top it with grilled onions, peppers, creamy queso, and pico de gallo. It’s a unique blend of Mexican fajitas and the American classic hot dog!

5. Smoked Meatloaf

We give Mom’s meatloaf a run for her money! We make our meatloaf in-house and baste it in barbeque sauce before smoking it. The smoked meatloaf is served on thick and creamy mashed potatoes and brown gravy, with crispy fried onions piled high on top. 

6. Mama Bear Burger

A burger on the Smith and Son Corner Kitchen menu you might not have had yet is the Mama Bear Burger. We pile 2 fresh beef patties and shaved roast beef on a brioche bun, then top it off with grilled onions, mushrooms, and Swiss cheese, and serve it with a side of au jus. We don’t skimp on the meat!

7. Hillbilly Hurricane

We have a variety of refreshing cocktails at our downtown Gatlinburg restaurant in addition to a full menu of beer, wine, and liquor. You may have tried our famous Nutter Butter Old-Fashioned, but have you checked out the Hillbilly Hurricane? This delicious cocktail is made with Ole Smoky Hunch Punch Moonshine, sour mix, orange juice, and Sprite. It’s the perfect balance of sweet and sour for a delicious cocktail to sip throughout your meal!
